Pittsburgh River Hounds

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds was founded in 1999. This Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania based club plays its home matches in Chartiers Valley High School which is located in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. The club recently changed its club colors to royal blue and white, to honor the English Premier League club Everton due to their academy and training partnership. The term "riverhounds" is used to describe the large number of workers that run the barges that are at the confluence of three major rivers in Pittsburgh. The club has one Division championship, in 2001. Notable players include: Joey Worthen, Franz Carr, and Thiago Martins
