Charlotte Eagles

The Charlotte Eagles were founded in 1991 as the Charlotte Eagles Soccer Club. They became a professional club in 1993 when they joined the USISL. Based out of Charlotte, North Carolina they have rivalries with many local teams including the Charleston Battery, Carolina Railhawks, and most-notably the Wilmington Hammerheads, with whom they compete for the North Carolina Darby. The club is a member of MAI, which is Missionary Athletes International- an organization that undertakes sportsmanship as a way of spreading the values of Christianity. Playing their home games at Charlotte Christian School, the club's official colors are orange, white, and black. They have been a successful club, winning their division titles in 1996, 1999, 2004, and 2008. Notable players include Steve Shak, Caleb Norkus, and Dustin Swineheart.
