BRIGHTON, England(AP) Second-tier Brighton beat Premier League side Newcastle 1-0 Saturday in another FA Cup match that Magpies defender Mike Williamson will want to forget.

Williamson deflected in Will Buckley's close-range effort for the only goal 14 minutes from time at the Amex Stadium as Brighton advanced to the last 16.

Williamson also scored an own goal last season when Newcastle lost to then League Two side Stevenage in the third round of the same competition.

Buckley picked up the ball in his own half and charged forward into the Newcastle area. His 76th-minute shot looked to be going wide but it took a huge deflection off Williamson to wrong-foot goalkeeper Tim Krul and bounce into the net.
