Sporting Kansas City
Sporting Kansas City is owned by a group of Kansas City investors collectively called Sporting Club. Formely known as OnGoal, LLC this investment group bought the club from their previous owner, Lamar Hunt, in 2006 for $20 million dollars. They soon there after received approval for an approximate $275 million dollars in public financing to create a soccer specific stadium in Kansas City. The investment has five primary principles: Neal Patterson (CEO), Clifford Illig (co-founders), Pat Curran, Greg Maday, andRob Heineman.
