DC United
DC United is owned by DC United Holdings, which is a group of investors that control its operating rights. The group is run by William H.C. Chang (Westlake International Group chairman), Christian Laettner and Brian Davis (managers of Blue Devil Ventures, and Kevin Payne (President of DC United). Brian Davis is one of the first African-American owners in Major League Soccer. William H.C. Chang is also one of the first Asian-American owners. DC United Holding bought the club from Anschutz Entertainment Group for $33 million which is a record fee for any operational rights in the MLS. They are currently trying to obtain a soccer-specific stadium for their club.
