Highlights of the 2011 Grass Roots Show
With over 11,000 people in attendance throughout the three days, The brmb Grass Roots Football Show 2011 was packed full with coaches, players and fans, all united by their love for the beautiful game.
For the thousands of coaches at the event, the Main Arena was a focal point and permanently busy with all three stands packed to the rafters with fans wanting to see some of the games best coaches in close up coaching action.
These top football stars included Birmingham City manager Chris Hughton, former Crystal Palace and QPR manager Iain Dowie and former England U21s manger Peter Taylor, alongside a number of the best coaches from a host of professional teams.
The coaches not only delivered some great innovative sessions but were also available throughout the event to meet with and answer questions from the visitors who wanted to learn the secrets of their success.
For the fans and players there were some terrific interactive features from the likes of the Football League Community Coaching Arena, the Kelloggs Crossbar Challenge and the Birmingham heats of the National Street Soccer Showdown. There was also the chance to take on friends in the EA Sports Zone, while leading football freestylers Billy Wingrove and Jeremy Lynch wowed the crowds with their dazzling ball juggling skills.
For everyone at the show there was also the chance to meet, have a photo with and get an autograph from a number of the stars of the event, including Robbie Savage, Dion Dublin andSky Sports presenters Vicky Gommersall and Charlotte Jackson as well as 5Lives Darren Fletcher and former England and Aston Villa manager Graham Taylor.
